Information on Electronic Dog Collars

Is the sound of a dog-barking drive you crazy? You have tried yelling at the dog, shutting the door won’t help and blasting the music won’t help either. A barking dog is a dog’s way of communicating with you. They won’t stop until you pay attention. But there is a way to control the barking of the dog. There are electronic collars. These send a low voltage shock to the dog and every time they bark they will be shocked until they learn not to bark.

There is another type of electronic collar but it is not for dog barking. This electronic collar prevents your dog from leaving your property. There are electronic fences but these collars do the same. Every time the dog attempts to leave the property the same effect happens, a low voltage shock wave will cause the dog not leave the yard. This does not in any way mean that you can leave your dog off the leash. It is just an added incentive for the dog not to wander.

The voltage is at a safe voltage so the dog does not get harmed. The dog will learn not to bark and not to leave the property. But remember a dig has to bark; it is their way of communicating to you. So don’t silence your dog all together. If the problem lies in him barking outdoors, leave the collar on when he goes outside and take it off when he comes in. then he will learn not to bark if he has the collar on.

Most dogs are quick learners and will pick up the concept fast. You can find these collars at the local pet store or the local Wal Mart or Target. They are reasonably priced and worth it if you have the patience to help your dog learn.
